Hello Everyone!
It's a little late for a Christmas card, but after months of no news, I decided I'd better send out some pictures and let you know we're still alive and doing well in the beautiful country of Slovenia. Sister Lindorf was good enough to send out the last several updates so it's my turn. I know that no one is in the mood for snow, but I have a few pictures that you just have to see. President Hill spent some time in Thailand, as did we, so he made what he called a Thai Snowman in the back yard of the mission home (and our office). This is one of a kind, since there is no snow in Thailand.
This is what he looked like after the next storm. I am easily amused!
The missionaries and members of the branch got together one Saturday for some basketball. Afterward, they helped clear the parking lot for church the next day. We had a lot more snow this year than most.
Sister Lindorf during Jen & Todd's visit with Anndra. A happy grandma indeed!
The first flowers of the season are called 'Snow Flowers' because when they bloom it means there will be no more snow!
When spring finally arrived we were able to travel to Zagreb for a zone conference.
What we're standing next to is a large hand painted Easter egg!
Slovenes love flowers. When the tulips came up you would have thought we were in Holland!
Every once in a while we have to pinch ourselves when we realize the magnificence of this earth.
An annual spring tradition is Clean Slovenia day. They estimate 140,000 volunteers spent the morning picking up trash and debris left from winter. The yellow vests are 'Mormon Helping Hands'.
We really do dress like missionaries most of the time, but it seems we only have a camera on P-days! We'll be home in about 2 1/2 months. It's hard to believe how fast the time flies.
We love being here and serving in whatever small way we can to contribute. It's a great time to be alive and a part of such an amazing work. We miss all of you but count each day here precious and wonderful.
Our love to you,
Elder Lindorf
